Human PC
The body and our world have so many connections and relations with each other. It's as if we can fit molds of other things and mass recreate “newer” things. As humans, we inhabit our inventions so we can interact with them. We base it on human characteristics or natural systems that influence technological design and innovation. We integrate ourselves with the objects and technologies we create by making external tools/ extensions of ourselves. It’s as if we are mirroring the way our bodies function in our creations.
The Human PC raises the question of how technology relates to us as an organic element. This specific artwork touches on the topics of Cybernetics as well as Biomimicry. And I'm sure you're wondering what Cybernetics and Biomimicry are. Well, cybernetics is the study of systems, both biological and artificial, and biomimicry is the concept of designing technology based on natural biological processes, which is what I am also doing here with the Human PC. Within the artwork, you can see that I've made particular relations with the human and the function of the computer
