Demonstration of the Human PC
Human PC
The body and our world have so many connections and relations with each other. As humans, we inhabit our inventions so we can interact with them. Based on human characteristics and natural systems that influence technological design and innovation, we end up integrating ourselves with the objects and technologies/inventions we create.
The Human PC raises the question of how technology relates to us as an organic element. By making external tools/extensions of ourselves, it’s as if we are mirroring the way our bodies function in our creations. This specific artwork touches on the topics of Cybernetics as well as Biomimicry. (Cybernetics is the study of systems, both biological and artificial, and biomimicry is the concept of designing technology based on natural biological processes.) The Human PC explores those topics. Within the artwork, you can see that I've made particular relations with the human and the functions of the computer.
